20 presidents of European National Judo Federations to come for Euro-2012 in Chelyabinsk

About 20 presidents of European National Judo Federations are invited to the Euro-2012 that will be held in Chelyabinsk on April 26-29.

“I called here 20 presidents from the European Federations. These are people who have authority in politics and business in their native countries. I would like them to see that Russia is not only Moscow. They will see how seriously the other Russian cities take sport events. And of course, they will meet the local businessmen and politicians, and come back home with good impressions. It will be not only sporting, but also a political event,” the president of the European Judo Union Sergei Soloveichik said.

Sergey Soloveichik added that he is glad that the European Judo Championship takes place in Russian city with millions population. This championship is an important event for the reputation of Russia and Chelyabinsk in the international scene.

Sergey Soloveichik visited Chelyabinsk three weeks before the championship. He praised the willingness of the city for the upcoming tournament. “Everything goes as it should,” Sergey Soloveichik said.
